Chronic Back Pain - 12/16/2003
To The Budincich Chiropractic Clinic, Inc.,I would like to personally thank Dr. Budincich, Dr. Venerable, and Dr. Haque for the excellent care I have been receiving from them since I started coming to the clinic 3 months ago. I came into the clinic with extreme back pain that I've had for many years. Over the past several years I had seen several Physical Therapists and Chiropractors and none of them correctly diagnosed my back problem because they never x-rayed my spine to make a proper diagnosis. In Addition to finally having x-rays taken of my back, Dr. Bud sat down with me and went over my x-rays, explaining exactly what all those little bones on that big black and white picture were, pin-pointed where the pain was coming from, and put me on a treatment plan based on my diagnosis. Three months later, I would say I feel at least 85% better than the first day I walked through their front door. The Doctors here know what they are doing and are very professional, yet all are very friendly, sociable, and make me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bud's Clinic to anyone who wants the care they need for their back. Bravo, and thank you for being Pasadena! Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer B. Yaffee

Acute Back Pain - 05/14/2001
Dear Dr. Budincich and Staff,
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the treatments you gave me and the far-reaching effects it had in my life. I am sure you experience gratification on a daily basis when you alleviate your patient's pain and suffering. In my case, what you did for me went far beyond the alleviation of physical pain.
All life and every day is precious, but some events in a person's life represent more to an individual than their day-to-day existence; events that mark the culmination of many years of devotion and work. These precious events are the blossoming of joie de vivre and raison d'etre -- the joys of life and the reason to exist.
For me, the event was my only son's wedding, in the planning for months. I thought I might not be able to go. It was Wednesday and I could hardly walk. The wedding was on Sunday and we had to drive to Seattle, Washington and ferry to Vashon Island. I was holding out hopes that I might recover enough to go; at the same time I was trying to be philosophical and resign myself to the very real possibility that if I didn't get better I might have to miss his wedding.
On the two mornings previous to visiting your office I could hardly get out of bed in the morning. I wasn't able to move a centimeter without experiencing excruciating pain (the previous week I had lifted a heavy object, which probably result in injury. My medical doctor had instruct me to lay on heating pads and take muscle relaxants for 3 weeks, and my condition was worsening). When I came into your office I could hardly walk, bend, or even open a door.
After one treatment I improved. The next morning I was able to get out of bed without the terrible muscle spasm, which I was coming to dread. You gave me two treatments in one day on Thursday and I was markedly improved. I left Friday morning and followed all of your instructions. For the first time, I say the California poppies in full bloom, the Capitol in Sacramento, and Mount Shasta at midnight, covered in snow. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful trip (I took a little ice chest for the packs. I wore the back brace and kept icing, and I was never too uncomfortable).
He was married last Sunday, May 5, in the most beautiful wedding ceremony I have ever witnessed.
Thank you so very much.

Shoulder Pain - 11/20/1995
There have been several occasions in the past when Dr. Budincich has relieved various conditions but last week, while doing a routine "maintenance" adjustment he intuitively decided to adjust my right shoulder, which had been not quite right since a bout of "adhesive capsulitis" a couple of years ago. Both of us were surprised as the adhesions let go and I now have full range of motion back. Way to go, Dr. B!

Fell Out of Tree
Dear Dr. Budincich,
On Mother's Day Morning I had no idea I was soon going to need your help. It is my responsibility to keep our yard cat free and I was on duty that glorious morning. A large gray cat sauntered into the yard from the west about 6:45 a.m. Instantly I leaped from my post and sprang into hot pursuit with the ground-eating stride of the Great Dane I am. The cat chose the old eucalyptus tree on the east side of the yard that had fallen over 20 years earlier and the branches grew into trunks lined up like a picket fence reaching for the clouds. The cat leaped onto the old trunk and raced up a large sloping branch about 10 feet to where the branches become thinner and smaller. Then she moved higher and tried to hide among the leaves. Since I had built up my speed and momentum I was able to mount the tree easily and run up the sloping branch to the fork at that 10 foot point. It was here that I lost my momentum and crashed to the ground below. I remounted the tree two more times in an attempt to fulfill my duty, only to find myself regimented to the hard packed dirt surface again with my neck twisted and my magnificent black nose driven into the earth and bloodied. The cat exited the tree over the block wall and I retired to the pool to sooth my injured body in the cool water.
Later as the sons and families arrived for the Mother's Day celebration they thought it funny that I had fallen from the tree. I found it humiliating. Several days later I was still tender to the touch and limping so I was taken to the vet. After examination the vet recommended chiropractic treatment. My neck was out of adjustment causing radiating pain to both my shoulder and hindquarters. My mistress was unable to find a vet who did chiropractic care (after several hours on the phone) so they called your office. You had provided excellent care to Todd Gardner so they thought they would at least ask. Mrs. Gardner called your office and asked your receptionist to please ask you to call when you were through with patients. Mrs. Gardner said she had an unusual situation to ask you about. Your receptionist felt you should have more information before calling so she asked Mrs. Gardner for the details. "Well, on Mother's Day our dog, a great dane, fell out of a tree..." and she told the receptionist my whole story, and said she wanted to ask you if you would consider adjusting a great dane. There was a very long pause, almost a minute, and then the receptionist asked Mrs. Gardner, "Am I on Candid Camera?"
Thank you for calling Mrs. Gardner back. I can't tell you how marvelous it was to meet you in that lovely park with the tantalizing scent of tri-tip in the air. In fact Dr. Budincich no one has ever smelled better than you did with the tri-tip on your hands. I am a new dog since your adjustment. Instantly I was able to turn my neck all the way in both directions and I stopped limping after just one moderate trip around the park that evening. I was sore for a couple of days but I have been a million dollar puppy ever since.
Dr. Budincich I want to thank you from the tip of my tail for taking away my pain. By the way you have the biggest and strongest hands I have ever felt. I would be happy to be your dog. Boy could you scratch.
With deep felt appreciation,
Emmitt
